Our tuition assistance does more than just provide a quality Catholic education for San Diego and Imperial County children. We empower parents with choice, providing a character formation education where their children are instilled with Catholic values, so that one day they may contribute to society as globally aware citizens.
No child should be denied his or her right to an education in faith, which in turn nurtures the soul of a nation.
— Pope Benedict XVI
We believe that Catholic education should be both affordable and accessible to every child and family who desires it regardless of their background, neighborhood, family income, or culture. We offer tuition assistance to San Diego and Imperial County children who come from both low and middle-income families, increasing their statistical chance of graduating high school and attending college. With your help we can continue to make Catholic education a reality for so many.

K-12 TUITION ASSISTANCE
The Bishop Flores Scholars will provide $1mm in tuition assistance in 2017-2018, focused on developing sustainable financial partnerships with families. Our tuition assistance will be awarded first-come first-served on the basis of financial need. The awards are based on household size and income, with grants up to a third to the total cost of tuition with a maximum of four recipients per family.
“We are now raising socially conscious children who understand the bigger problems of our society. That is why I sacrifice so much and why my kids have big ambitions and big dreams.”
— Diana, Catholic School Parent
The goal of our tuition assistance program is to assist families in need that are struggling with the financial burden of Catholic education in the Diocese of San Diego. We want to partner with families that can contribute in some manner to the education costs, but need added help in order to make it happen. Tuition assistance will be given to Catholic elementary and high school students who demonstrate the greatest financial need. Families who qualify will be eligible for awards up to 1/3 of the total cost to educate with a maximum of four recipients per family. Students must identify which school they are interested in attending in order to receive tuition assistance and must be approved by the principal or pastor. Tuition assistance will be given based on greatest demonstrated need. If you have any questions about our qualification guidelines, please check out our FAQ page, or just contact us.
Congratulations on making a great choice in your child’s education!
